Imagine Beloit is a group formed to educate the public on matters of the school district. It is lead by members of the community, and work in the group is voluntary.
In the school year of 2011-2012, Imagine Beloit put into motion one of its greatest projects to date: the Referendum. The Referendum had been in the planning process since 1998, but the vote to move forward with one did not occur until the fall. The motion for a referendum in 2012 was motivated by the need for new facilities, low interest rates, and the payment plan being offered by the state.
On April 3, the Referendum passed with more than 300 votes. Shortly after, the district approved of plans to begin with projects at the end of month.
Currently, Imagine Beloit is working on other school related projects aimed at the purpose of retaining students and alumni.
